Hello,

Find attached a screenshot of the Spy.

The 'properties' you see are the properties of the .psm or .par document.

Good Luck!

Wouter,

Many thanks for your unswer.

Let me see if I understand, If I want to assign all properties for Steel to a par file I have to surft each propertie ("Coef. of Thermal Exp", "Elongation", "Face Style", etc.) and assign the value taken from the Material Table to the par file?

Regards,

Mariano.

Mariano,

What your saying is probably the thing you should do. Solid Egde is probably doing the same thing in the background when you change the material. But I'm not sure, never done it.

It would say, try by beginning to test what the effect is of changing just the value of the material property, maybe that's enough.

If you apply material from material table, you need't send any values.

For apply material use:

Set ObjPartDoc = objApp.ActiveDocument

Set ObjMattable = objApp.GetMaterialTable

Call ObjMattable.ApplyMaterial(ObjPartDoc, MaterialName)

If you need calculate density use way from Solid edge Programing Help:

ComputePhysicalProperties
