How to get the iges configuration file (seiges.ini) location

Hi,

  I am trying to find the current iges configuration file (seiges.ini) location. This seiges.ini configuration file location can be changed (browse option is given in the tool). I am writing a configuration file now the task is to

1. First i need to get the current seiges.ini file location and

2. I need to set my configuration file location to solidedge.

The same for (DXF/DWG) configuration file (i.e seacad.ini) is done by

// Get the currently using seacad.ini file location

String FileLocation = seApp.Documents.AutoCadConfigFile;

// Set user configuation file location

objDoc.AutoCadConfigFile = "C:\abc\def....\myconfig.ini";

I need the same thing but for iges configuration file (i.e seiges.ini file)

Thanks in advance

Regards

Venkata Ramesh V

RE: How to get the iges configuration file (seiges.ini) location

Hi wolfgang,

I had seen that post earlier, since i didnt understood that solution (Values from registry), i tried the above method for DXF/DWG configuartion file (like using SE API for autocadconfiguration get and set). So could you please explain me using solidedge API for iges configuration file. or probably its better for me to understand how to get the registry key and then set the required values . So can give a piece of code explaining for this iges file (i know you already given me the registry key value for iges.. "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Unigraphics Solutions\Solid Edge\Version XXX\FileTypes\SolidEdge.XXXXXDocument\FileFormats\.IGS\ConfigFile") but i dont know how to use and what to do next. Please explain me so that i can understand both iges settings and generically how to use the registry in getting the values.

Thank

Venkata Ramesh V
