Is it possible to create a reference block within the assembly?

Good Morning!
Is it possible to create a block in the assembly environment for reference only, and which disappears when the command is finished? Similar to the image below:

Has anyone seen anything like this?

simplified enclosure might meet your needs

 

if not  maybe just a create n place dummy part.

 

but i think the enclosure command might be what you are looking for .

yes,  there is enclosure in assy as well!

Further to Matt's suggestion, there is a feature called Zones.

Also this being posted on the developer forum, I guess you want to create this programmatically. So there's an API for zones as well:

In the Solid Edge UI, Zones are in the EdgeBar under Select Tools:
