Number of actual drawing sheets?

Hi all,

  Does anyone know how to find the actual number of sheets on a drawing?

  I have checked lpDrawing->Sheets->Count an on my sample drawing, it returns 11 as the qty.  Using SESpy, it also returns 11 with eleven items. - But only two of these items are the sheets I am interested in (ie In SolidEdge, there are two tabs, labelled "Sheet 1" and "Sheet 2".)  I am not interested in the number of background sheets, just the 'actual' sheets.

  Does this make sense as a question and if so, any suggestions on finding which of those 11 sheets are the actual sheets I want the quantity of?

Thanks,

Chris.

RE: Number of actual drawing sheets?

In the past the method I used was:

TrueCount = 0

for i = 1 to seApp.ActiveDocument.Sheets.Count

If seApp.ActiveDocument.Sheets.Item(i).BackgroundVisible = True Then

TrueCount = TrueCount + 1

End If

Next

RE: Number of actual drawing sheets?

Dim draftDoc As SolidEdgeDraft.DraftDocument

Dim numSheets As Integer

numSheets = draftDoc.Sections.WorkingSection.Sheets.Count

Michael,

Thanks too! - Of the two options, I'm going with yours - seems a little more direct!

Thanks,

Chris.

Not a problem.

You can repay me by giving me the solution to my post from yesterday!
