Out of Date Assemblies

I'm trying to write a program that runs when you have an open assembly. The program will run through all the sub assemblies in the open assembly and open and save them. I only want this to run on Out of Date Sub Assemblies. Does anybody know how to tell if an assembly is out of date programmatically using either VB or VB.Net? Thanks in advance.

I need to better understand exactly what you're after here. Are you wanting to know if the Sub-Assembly's Physical Properties are up-to-date?

About the only thing I see remotely close to what I think you want would be:

AssemblyDocument->PhysicalProperties->GetAssemblyPhysicalProperties() which has an UpdateStatus flag.

If not, can you briefly explain to me how to reproduce what you're looking for in Solid Edge?
