Question Abour the SE File Prop API

So, exactly how do I get the SE File Property API to work?

Better question, what is it for? Is it for programming or

for some one to make changes to file props that does not have

SE loaded on their computer?

RE: Question Abour the SE File Prop API

My File Property API contains .NET classes that wrap Microsoft's Structured Storage API and allow you to open a file's property sets for read\write operations. It works almost exactly like Solid Edge provided API.

The reason I wrote the API:

1. I wanted to learn about Structured Storage

2. Some people have a need to read \ write file properties without SE installed

3. SE provided API is COM based, so you end up dealing with 2 layers of COM interop

You get it to work by downloading the .dll, referencing the .dll from a project and you can use the example code on the download page to see how it works.
