Report Model in Drawing

Hi

SolidEdge: SE2

Language: vb.net

Is there a way to get the model-name (*.par, *.asm) shown on a drawing?

I usually work in NX and there it is called master model concept. This means a drawing shows one model/assembly on a drawing. If there is more than one model/assembly shown on a drawing, one is assigned as the master.

Where I'm interested is to get a function/method in a solidedge-class where reports the related model/assembly on the drawing. I find this information in the properties of a view on the drawing, but I don't know the vb-class to get this information. Is this information related to the views and not to the drawing?

Regards and many thanks

RE: Report Model in Drawing

You must access the Modellinks collection.

oDFT.Modellinks.item(n).ModelDocument returns the docuemnt object for the "n" part or asm in the dft file.
