I am trying to develop an Add-in for ST4. So far I have been able to get the dll registered and it shows up in Add-in Manager but it does not show up anywhere else. Does anyone have a screen shot of what a working add in is supposed to look like. Based on the Read Me in the SDK. I feel like I am having this problem.
This is quoted from the readme file.
"My ADD-IN Fails to show up in Edge but the ADD-IN Manager lists the Add in"
The add-in is not fully registered. Check to see if the "codebase" entry of the "InproServer32" registry key exists and has the correct path to the add-in server (DLL). This will occur if you build without the "Register for COM interop" box checked.
I am running Visual Basic Express and the "Register for COM interop" option is not available in express. Anybody have any ideas to get this work?

I found the solution to my problem. I have been using Visual Basic Express 2010 and apparently it doesn't have the necessary files to compile the Sample SDK VB.NET ADDin. I downloaded a trial visual studio 2010 professional and it worked right away.
