Selecting part's hole feature in Assembly?

I'm trying to create something similar to the 'Inquire Element' function for holes. But I need to (while in assembly mode) select as hole's ID, and it return the diameter (exactly like Inquire Element). Im sure I can get something to find the holes dia. But Im not sure how to switch SE to allow for selection of a hole.

P.S. - being able to select the entire hole feature would be great! But I'd settle for selecting the ID surface of the hole.

Any Ideas?

Thanks!

-Dave

Selecting part's hole feature in Assembly?

To those curious, I've found it out, how-ever not ideal.

I objApplication.StartCommand(10779). This switches the select tool to "Face Priority". Then I loop while selectset.count = 0 then throw a DoEvents in between. This keeps my program occupied while the user selects the hole they want. Now the better way is to use EventHandlers for this, but without a working proof of concept, I'm too lazy to set those up.

If someone has a better way, I could sure use it!

Thanks!
