Neil Perez from Siemens asked me to share this message about the new Solid Edge App Marketplace with you all. I'm not in a position to publish apps these days but a few years ago, I would have been all over this.
Back in early 2012, I posted JasonNewell.NET - Past Present & Future outlining my efforts in creating an LLC so that I could sell my software. I vividly remember the effort I put forth in creating a website that would allow me to sell. In late 2012, I posted JasonNewell.NET - Past Present & Future (Updated) where I conceded defeat. If something like the Solid Edge App Marketplace had existed in 2012, I expect that I would have succeeded.
I don't have any more details other than Neil's words below but feel free to reply with questions or contact Neil directly. I expect we will be hearing a lot more about this topic soon. Good stuff.
Solid Edge Users,
Very shortly, Siemens PLM Software will be announcing the launch of the Solid Edge App Marketplace where our customers can purchase add-on software applications directly on the web. Similar to the Solid Edge Store, you will be able to browse through the partner-created apps, purchase the software online and immediately download the software for use. We believe that this will open up more of our software partners’ application to our end users and make it easier to find solutions that benefit you and your business.
Additionally, we are keenly aware that many of you have also written programs that would be beneficial to the Solid Edge community at large. We would like to offer those of you who have such programs an opportunity to join the App Marketplace as well. Just like our software partners, you would be able to place your apps on the App Marketplace and allow other users to purchase and download them for use. Pricing for each app is defined by you as the developer of the application and can start at a minimum price of $20.00 USD.
If you have an app that you would like to include on the App Marketplace or if you have any questions regarding the program, please feel free to contact me directly at any time.

PowerToys is retired and is no longer available. I would suggest that you start a new forum thread and explain your needs. I would imagine there are other solutions available or we can possibly whip something up for you.
