VB.Net 2008 Express beta

[ Edited ]

I would like to try out the latest VB.net.  I'm using SE V20 and vb.net 2003.  Will there be any major problems with that?  I've heard there are lots of issues with the newest .net framework.

Bob,

I really don't know if there will be any issues or not. There were definately issues moving from v1.1 to v2.0. Microsoft made breaking changes regarding COM Interop. You'll just have to give it a shot and see. I personally don't waste my time looking at betas for the most part. I just don't have time. But I will be the 1st to buy the new Visual Studio .NET when it's RTM. The new version allows you to build for different versions of the runtime. SWEET!

Thanks for the reply.  At some point we will be forced to upgrade, so i might as well see how it goes now.  It was a major learning curve going from VB6 to .NET.  I guess I could use 2005 express as I don't want to have to pay to see if I like it.
