Reza,

There are several methods. It really depends on what you're wanting.

You can use the BackgroundImage property of the EdgeBarControl itself.

You can add a PictureBox control to the EdgeBarControl.

Let me know if you still need help.

RE: bitmap on my EdgebarControl

Reza,

Read up on ReleaseBuild.bat in the Readme.htm that comes with the templates. You must build in Release mode in VS.NET at least once. From then on, you have to use ReleaseBuild.bat to get the image on the tab.

The image for the EdgeBarTab is stored in Addin.res. This is a Win32 resource file. The bitmap is 20x20.

Let me know if you need anything else.

OK, I got the icon, but my question is, how do you change the icon (i'm a little slow on this one)!

Bob,

Addin.res should be listed in your solution. Double click that file and it will bring up Resource Editor. You can try editing the image there, or, you can delete it and import in a new bitmap in it's place. If you replace it, just make sure it's the same type of bitmap and assign it an ID of 1.

RE: bitmap on my EdgebarControl

Thanks, this is my first attempt to use the edgebar control. The templates really make it easy, thanks!

RE: bitmap on my EdgebarControl

Ok, I followed your deployment instructions in the read me, but I don't get a Release folder created in my bin folder. The build and the ReleaseBuild.bat go ok, so I'm not sure where i'm screwing up.
