inter-part link is breaking after Assembly SaveAS

Hi,

I am using SE ST5 and using VBA for customization.

In the attached assembly (house.asm), I created a inter-part link with driving dimension  for the protrusion in the base.par and roof.par. with this it drives parametrically the roof:

After saveas of 'house.asm' to 'house1.asm'. the links are automatically broken.

Could you please help me to avoid this after SaveAs .

Are you intending to create a full copy of the assembly?

If yes, you should have a look at the RevisionManager API. This application will take care of copying all subparts and updating their interpart links for you!!

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the reply,
Actually after calling SaveAS on Assembly documentm the interpart links are broken.
And also I tried with RevisionManager API, like copy and rename APIs on the assembly document only not all sub parts. But it does n't work in my case.

Let me know how to copy all sub parts and interpart links (full copy of assembly) by using Revision Manager ?

Regards
Prasad

There already exists a post with some code on how to copy an assembly without breaking the links. Just check this:
