Hi,

Short:

How can I open a SW , sldprt file and tell the SE that it's a par file?

Long:

I'm converting a project from Solid Works it has many files..

When opening a file with Documents.Open() the SE asks me to tell it which type is it.

Can I specify with the other open parameters that it's a par type? how?

Best Regards.

Joseph,

I believe Application.Documents.OpenWithTemplate() is what you're after. You specify a valid template filename in the 'Template' parameter. For example, if you have standard ANSI templates, you would use "ansi par.par".

I could be wrong but I think that's how it's done.
