I have problems adding thread to holes in a STEP file.
Sometimes it works, other times not so much.
What am I doing wrong?
Since this is a smart hole, you won't be able to add thread to it using the thread command. All you have to do is select the hole and edit back into it. Then go into the hole properties and change the type of hole to a threaded hole.
This hole shares attributes with holes 27 and 28 though, so if you don't want all three of them changing you need to right click on 26 and choose the Seperate option.
That worked to some degree
We just realised that the hole in the STEP file we received is too big for G 1/8", but we cannot resize it.
If I remember correctly, then it's because it's "blue" and not "red", but the Lock is not next to the meassurement like in a normal part... I think.
these pictures shows locked & unlocked dimension:
Holes with unlocked dimensions could be get their appropiate thread. But unlocked one generates an Error message.
Weisenberger got the solution
You already have your hole. Your methode is good for creating a "New Hole" but not for editing an old one.
