looks like you are picking the Csys point and not the Axis...   thus I believe the dimension is inferring min distance measurement.  try the SHIFT key to toggle to Horz/Vert  and/or  pick the Axis and not the point

Hi there @Kenneth,

Further to what @Johnson_BigMatt points out....you could also use relationships to locate the geometry to.....say, use  "Connect" at line mid point to the relative Csys axis.

Try starting the dimension from the origin planes as the first step.

I used connect to fix the issue, but already got the same problem again Smiley Sad

What am I doing wrong? Trying to align the 2 lines to each side of center. Can't even dimension the distance to center, as you can see in the video.

I try to select the plane/line instead of the center-dot. Still no success.

Hope one of you might be able to help me Smiley Happy

Hi @Kenneth

You will be successfull when activating the "Lock Dimension Plane" button for 3D sketch dimensions

See video.

(view in My Videos)

before locking the plane the dimension behaves the same as Yours, but after acitvating the lock plane it is at You expect it to be.

Wolfgang

What is "automatic" in the dim dropdown? Is that an ST10 thing or am I losing my mind?
