I have to make a lot of flat patterns in DXF format.
And it is time consuming...
I have found a nice macro from Wolfgang Hackl called sheetlaser.
And it's helpfull but still you have to redo the complete proces for every save to dxf.
I was hoping someone made Wolfgang's macro automated as a extra option in the batch.exe program.
And is willing to share his program in this forum.
Wolfgang, maybe you have it already ?
And yes I know I'm a bit lazy
Solved! Go to Solution.
there already exists a batch_sheetlaser macro, which does exactly You mentioned.
Since it is based on the batch standard macro with the additional sheetlaser code it is available for free too.
I thought the exe is packed into the sheetlaser ZIP already, but if not, then I will take care about and do so.
Maybe this part /exe might not be tanslated into English.
Kepp You informed.
Hi to all,
sorry to say, but my first answer was to fast and cam before looking into the details.
OK, Dirk, there is a macro available, which can run through one or mor directories, finding all PSM and saves the flat pattern into a DXF file, if they are available.
But, and this was my mistake, only the export of the flat to DXF will be done.
No other functions of sheetlaser!
So this means, no properties of cutting length, number of bends, etc.
If this also is OK for YOu at the moment, the You can have this macro immediately.
And I will try to write a full sheetlaser_batch in the next days
That's why I gave you a deticated place on my website among other macro writers.
Always helpfull and a great guy !
Anyway Wolfgang the batch program is not in the zipfile I just downloaded from your website.
And german is no problem for me. I speak every language if I can reduce working time today.
Wolfgang kein problem !
Ich habe nur einer DXF nötig und keine props in einer log datei.
Und nochmals vielen dank für die Mühe.
OK, so You will find the macro - as it is, or better as it was 7 years ago.
Just tested it, even with ST9 and it works fine.
You can select wathever PSM You like, and the macro will create a DXF of an exisitng flat pattern using the same filename as the PSM with ending .DXF
Please test it before using it for greater file numbers, make a backup first, and appologize that there is no better solution for the moment and it is German only.
The attached macro below looks like just the ticket however I’m having trouble using it. This will be the first macro I have used on Solid Edge and so need a little guidance.
I’ve tried running the macro through the quick access tool bar as well as through file explorer however both times I’m left with an error;
Sie mussen alle offenen solid edge dokumente schlieben, bevor sie dieses dienstprogramm ausfuhren
A quick google translate still doesn’t shed sufficient light..
