Best way to measure a diameter in a specific case

Hello all

I'm trying to understand how is the best way to measure a diameter, in case the sketch was made from a square, and knowing that after I'll make a revolution of this created sketch.

Should I measure directly with the "Smart Dimension"? Or should I measure with the "Symmetric Diameter" and let the command "Smart Dimension - Enable Prefix" enabled?

Thanks!

Hi there,

Are you working in Synchronous or Ordered mode?

I think Sync works best in this case,....just make your revolve, then add a PMI "smart dimension" to the resulting diameter, also, with a Sync revolve you'll see a "live section" apear automatically....very handy for adding more dimensions to control the shapes, especially more complex ones.

Hello, I'm very thankful. But, in fact, I'm working in the ordered mode.

So, is this also work by using the ordered mode? If not, how could I measure that diameter?

Thanks

Joao

Hello João,

Well in ordered mode, dimension the sketch as you said, using the symetric diameter.
