Our company standards require BOM's have a 1/2" row height and .156 text height. I am trying to figure out if there is way to show two lines of text in a parts list with these requirements. The text will physically fit, but I can't figure out how to do it in Solid Edge. See attached part & draft file. I'm using ST8, MP7. Any ideas?

On the data tab of the Parts List Properties dialog, right-click on the cell to word wrap and select 'Allow Cell Override'
Then insert the character %RT for the carraige return.
This is one way I could think of getting the two words to wrap.
Your row height already appears to be set to 0.5 inch whereas the font height can be changed from the Table Style.

Maybe I have misunderstand your requirement but if the 2 lines text comes from two different properties you can configure the BOM to show them in this way:

That's much cleaner, without the need for a special character.
I found this can be done for an entire column inside the Data tab as well.

I can't get it to work with @Tushar's trick with that text and row height. The minimum height I could get to work is 0.60". Or 0.50 works if you reduce the text ht to 0.146 max.
Seems like you'd need to make a Description2 property for the second line and use @Fiorini's method if you must have 0.156 text and .500 rows.

We use a custom property for the part description and in there you can use %RT to force a new line.
Not sure if you can do that with standard properties.

@beachcomber, That is very good info! Didn't know you could embed that in a property.
However, I still can't the text and row heights (.156 and .50) to work.

No, the Row height and font size are not going to fit together.
I only focussed on getting the Word Wrap to work.

I know, I'm just trying to help a brother out.

Thanks to everyone that replied. As Bruce mentions, the word wrap works fine if the row is tall enough, but with a text height of .156 and row height of .5 inches, it just won't show the second line of text. Text with a .156 height should physicaly fit as I showed in my original post; I was just trying to see if anyone knew of a workaround besides making the text smaller or BOM row taller.
