Thankyou for the solution. But after pasting the bom in excel. It is
appearing like a picture, and not like as we get while using variable
contents in excel.

This happen because you have selected "Copy" and not "Copy content" on the BOM.
Try again :-)

I got some messages about the preview images.
To extract the images from the Solid Edge files we developed little DLL. And this DLL has to be registered before you are using the Add-In in Excel. Otherwise there are no preview images.
All details about this are in the delivered Readme.txt.

The problem of adding drawings to the Excel-Bom OOTB is that the 3D-model has no information about related drawings except you have a data management tool that has a "Where Used" function.
