Boolean Operation

Hello Everybody,

I have Porous strcuture on the top of it, I have created Cube. The sole purpose is do to subtraction so that end product that is cube will left with empty pores in order to make geometry ready for CFD Analysis.

I try to perform it by following the feature< subtract. Unfortunately I result I am getting says unsuccessful.

Attached please see the pic of geometry. I am looking forward for any sort fo help.

Kind Regards

Varun

Re: Boolean Operation

without the files it's hard to guess what s happening,  but my assumption is that there is some non manifold area(s)

can you share both parts...

im sure that if you tried the same process with parts of my simple gemoety you will see that the comand works...

sometimes with geometry like this you need to make minor offsets either + or - to account for and work around non manifold areas..

Hello Varun:

I agree with @MattJohnson_PG

There are some overlapping faces which will prevent a successful boolean subtract.

You figure those out or share the parts for inspection.
