ST9 draft display broke suddenly after working several hours. Work area covers command bar and path finder.(See attached image pls.)
Tried re-install ST9, clear Curent User registry and clear C:\Users"user name"\AppData\Roaming\Unigraphics Solutions\Solid Edge\Version 109, but not solved...
This issue occure after ST9 was installed. (ST8 didn't have same issue. )
Free 2D (ST9) on the same PC doesn't have this issue. ( Changed the license file to Free 2D one. )
It would be appreciated if I can get any idea or hint to solve this issue.
what happens after a reboot of Your computer?
Or after logout/login?
Does it work then?
And, what graphic card are You using?
Weird that the Free2D license works and the other license you have doesn't. It's the same application code but it may separate the personal settings... Might be something corrupt in the stored settings for the problem license. You might try using the Settings & Preferences Wizard to reset SE to factory settings when using the problem license.
I see that the new prefrence dialog shows the "reset to original settings" at Your installation, which also is shown in the tutroials of ST9
When I'm starting the prefrence wizzard I only get save or deploy settings but not "restore to original"
What exactly version are You using at the moment?
Or have I missed something?
I'm using ST9 MP1. I believe this was not avaialble in the RTM version.
I haven't tried to switch to working sheet environment.
But, i can create a new draft document and it works properly...
the behavior is too strange.
Once the display is broken...
i can open other draft document but the display is still broken
i can create a new draft document and i can work normally
re-booting PC does not work to fix the SE display
open a windows session using other log-in account, then i can work with the draft file normally
I think I had similar problem with ST9 display last week. I solved it by removing and recreating current SE settings from %userporfile% folder. What was true cause I do not know.
What i did was:
1. Close SE
2. I did backup of folder c:\Users\userprofile\AppData\Roaming\Unigraphics Solutions\Solid Edge\Version 109\
3. I deleted content of ...\Version 109\ folder
4. Restart SE
Maybe you can test what files or folders are causing this issue.
