Can any make this re-bend without altering the flat?

Attached is a small sheet metal file that represent a 3 year long problem.

What is attached is the corner I want in the flat, but can't rebend it becuase of additions and subtractions to the 3 way corner area. Is there any way to overcome this.

What I do right now is create one file for the flat and one for the bent part and this prevents other portions of the work to be much much more complex than needed.

If I could find a way to have a 1 to 1 relations between the flat pattern and bent part, it would save hours of work.

That's not the same flat. The cuts and tab done is the flat are not there.

Actually it is in the flat, how did you get there?

Is the triangle shape with the  .188 radius an existing punch shape? You can make a slightly deeper cut using existing tool but it'll create a slightly wider gap when bent. or you can use a smaller radius to narrow the gap.  just connect the radius to the end of the existing cut.  Changing the radius to  .133 gives the exact same flange gap when bent. He used the "delete face" command while in the flat, it'll show up like this in an exported .dxf but not on a print.

What is in the sketch of the cutout is exactly what I want in the flat. Now the issues is how do I get that cut on a  part that can be used in the flat and bent postioins.

The location of the 3/16" circular punch is right were I want it. If it is moved or changed in size, and the lines extending from it move change the desired self welding gap of the folded part away from 1/8". That gap is also just large enough to handle the spring back issues.

When I try to use delete face on the flat pattern, I am unable to select just that area, I have to delete the entire 3 way including bends. how did you delete just that small bit?

I have never used delete face for anything.

The question is, how did you delete the face? If I try to delete a face, it deletes everything involved with the 3 way corner.

@12GAGE,

You might need to change your selection filter to "Single", as I suspect it is set to "Chain"......then fence select the relief region, accept it - Done.
