Can find the overides

I can't seam to find a few overide functions. I hope they exist.

1. How can I input the weight of an assembly (and or a part) and have the program use that rather than the calculated weight?

2, How can I overide a dimension to display what I type rather than the exact dimension?

Re: Can find the overides

1.  Open up Physical Properties on Inspect tab, check the option "User-defined proerties", enter your properties particularly "User-quantity mass".

2. Any UNLOCKED dimension will allow you to just type a value in the value box and it overrides that value.  An overridden dimension is typically signified by an underlined value but can be changed on the Terminator and Symbol tab of the dimensions properties.

Re: Can find the overides

Will the "User quantiy mass" replace the calculated mass automatically in all cases?

For the dimension overide, I'm seeking to have displayed whatever I type. For example, I want all the dimension on a page to display normally, except I want one dimension to display "=DIM+T+R"

Re: Can find the overides

The user defined mass should override any calculated mass.

To place TEXT in a dimension you must:

  1. Set the Dimension type on the Dimension command bar to Blank.
  2. Turn on the Prefix or Suffix with the text you want as a value.
