The old edge locate/peers thing strikes again. The bain of many beginners. Why this is always off by default has bugged many users. How many times on this forum have we asked users if peers is on? I wish they would just make it on by default or somehow remind users when it's apparent they need to turn it on (I realize this may not be practical).

Next step would be to mark Ken's answer as accepted solution since this thread has run into 13+ messages and users who browse this in future should be able to go to the solution directly instead of browsing and reading through all replies.

I agree Tushar.

Taking that a step further, This and a few other things should be on a menu that is always available by default.

The other things I always have buttons for are file properties and property manager. I used to always have material properties before they started showing up in the tree.

This is one of a few features I have not added to a custom tool bar that is always open, and still have to switch menus when mid-task.

Guess I should add it to my always on toolbar.
