Century Gothic TTF in PDF

Has anyone noticed that Solid Edge will not let you save a pdf that uses the Century Gothic font?  Maybe it's an agreement with Solidworks...

Hi @MattS,

Just tested that, and seems to work, as expected.

Re: Century Gothic TTF in PDF

I am able to save to PDF using the Century Gothic font.

Do you get any error message or it just doesn't create the PDF ?

OK, I agree.

My fonts tab shows either Tahoma or some AvantaGarde (which matches when I checked online) and I have no clue how the later comes into picture since it is not installed on my system.

I think font mapping, as in the case of DWG, is not exposed yet, hence this appears to be some internal mapping.

I can only speculate that Siemens doesn't want their drawings to look like Solidworks.  Kinda bums me out as I think Century Gothic is very clear and easy to read on a drawing.

Ah, I see now, it's in the "Callout Text" area.....yes, I get the same result.

I remember on my old computer, I had Adobe Pro suite, and the print to PDF functionality it had, also allowed the option to embed fonts. I suspect this is what is happening here, or rather, "not", during the Save As - PDF in Solid Edge.
