Hi @BeatrizSeoane

besides changing Your system name IMHO there is only a solution via API (programming) which will lead to a result.

Hi @BeatrizSeoane

welcome!

It really is a quick small macro without any intelligence, but it does its job.

First I thought about using an INI/XML file for translating system user names to small initials.

Maybe I will find that time

But this will be no promise so far

Betreff: Change the "last author" call

Hi Wolfgang,

I'm trying to get this macro to work but whenever I input my initials and click Set Last Author it does not do anything and does not change the author in the drawing. Am I doing somthing wrong?

Thank you in advance!

Hi @IgorP

Can you check the 'Last saved by' value under the Statistics tab. This is the value the macro changes.

Hi @IgorP

Betreff: Change the "last author" call

I think I am in a Catch22 situation with using the macro. I want to send out a part file with last name changed to "Tushar" while I am logged in the computer as something else, say "XYZ". The macro lets me change the last used author to "Tushar", but before giving out the file I want to save it first which changes the last used author back to "XYZ" since I am logged in as "XYZ". If I choose to not save the file I cannot retain the changed author as "Tushar". Have I understood the macro wrong or using it incorrectly ? Thanks. Tushar
