Changing from part to part In-place edit

When I move from editting (in place) one component to another in the same sub-assy I notice that the display needs to move up to the sub-assy and then drop back down into the component. Why is this?

RyanM,

Don't need to go back to sub-assy! Smiley Wink

If you edit a part from assembly then you can change "edited part" with double click (or RMB and Edit) on the "part name" in Pathfinder...

Here is a little help:

Thanks for the video. I do understand how to make changes for part to part. What I was wondering was why I see the flickering and notice that the assembly has to activate to move to another component in the same assembly. Your video actually shows this flickering happening for you. I have a slow i7 laptop so I definitely see this lag/flickering.

What's happening there is, [approximately] it's saving/closing/returning/opening/updating, etc.....between files & their respective states. Obviously the less powerful the hardware, the more of this activity is made visible.

RyanM,

Sorry, but I don't know the reasons, but maybe Dan knows the answer. Smiley Happy
