Circular Pattern WIth Steering Wheel

I have a synchronous part with a flat on one side of a cylinder. I want to copy the flat symmetrically to the other side of the cylinder. I tried steering wheel on the axis and then ctrl -left clicking the torus to make a 180 deg copy but it won't work. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for ny help

Hi there @wbrokow1,

Is there any reason you could not just to use the "Circular Pattern" command to achieve this?

I think you are doing it correctly but select the flat and the square shoulder then it works with synchronous.
