Circular Pattern

Hi.

I have an assembly and I have inserted a bolt and nut.  I now want to create a circular patter but the only optiobs I have are square and along a curve.

Why do I not have the circular pattern option?

Hi @Dazzie

can you attach some video or print screen ?

Did you use Search on the Forum to gain more information ?

How about Google Search ?

There are plenty of topics regarding this.

Hi Arekkul.

Thanks for your reply.

I have found lots of information regarding patterns, but nothing to help.

What I want to do is a circular pattern of the the bolt and nut, but as you can see it that option is not available.

Hi @Dazzie

I have attached a video

I know it is confusing seeing only Rectangular Pattern Icon where this command is intuitive and recognising the pattern automatically.

I friendly encourage to read the PromptBar - every step is clearly explained.

Enjoy

Hi Arek.

Unfortunately, I cannt view your video online.

I am just looking at this.  I do find it difficult to use.  Once I have managed to make it work it will be good to use.

Well done @arekkul....I had just finished recording an almost identical video to upload for @Dazzie's use case....then saw the notification of your post.

Hi @Dazzie

Simply go to the same command you know - and read PromptBar instruction.

Firstly set the bolt, then click on the disc which contains the pattern holes.

then click on the pattern holes and finally set the first hole where you have the one and only bolt.

Finished,

@Dazzie,

Further to @arekkul's info......if you hover your cursor over the Pattern command, then press F1, to see the help topic for that command.

Hi Arek.

This isn't very user friendly.

Click on components to duplicate - ok

Click on a component for the components to be duplicated from - ok

Click on the components to define the duplicate location or click the  "select Matching Occurrences" button - ??

It duplicated where I don't want it.  I cannot select the holes.
