Claims sketch not fully constrained, but it is

[ Edited ]

(view in My Videos)
Currently I'm dealing with a feature with multiple holes, and it keeps telling me it isn't fully constrained in the pathfinder.  When I go back in, some of the holes will show up as blue indicating they aren't, but they are. If I click and drag one of the holes then they all turn back to black, but when I exit the sketch it goes back to pretending it's not fully constrained. I know I can just move on, but I'm a stickler for things like this, and I know it's fully constrained. Anyone else ever have this issue?

Hi there @nominus38,

Not really come across this before, but...... is it possible there are duplicate holes at that/those locations?

Nope. Sorry.  And I've had things like this happen before, but usually it goes back to normal after I do a click and drag. Only one other time I can think of where the pathfinder kept saying the sketch was underconstrained however.

Did you have a look with the relationship assistent?

With it you can see where it is underconstraint:

Re: Claims sketch not fully constrained, but it is

Yes, I tried that. It says 0 relationships are required.

Re: Claims sketch not fully constrained, but it is

It often happens to me too.

More often with "complex" geometry like an hexagon

Could you post the sketch? Then we can have a look

Re: Claims sketch not fully constrained, but it is

Don't know how I could post just the sketch. I'd need to post the entire model, which I cannot do in this case.

Save as and delete everything else. You could also report it to your VAR
