Closed alphabet and digits to engrave/burn

Hi Experts,

I'd like to have already prepared latters and digits to burn and engrave by laser in psm or dxf.

Text in SE is open like "O" and I need closed letters. How to do this in faster way beacuse is rediculous to edit almost all letters?

Thank you very much for any support.

Does the stencil font not work for you?

otherwise I'd suggest creating your own library or "blocks" that you can drag and drop when ever needed.

I think Stencil should work for your need however???

Re: Closed alphabet and digits to engrave/burn

Thanks, I didnt know about this font!

Re: Closed alphabet and digits to engrave/burn

How does one go about using different fonts for cutting and etching, that aren't a part of Solid Edge library? Is there a simple import button, or does it require extensive work ahead of time to build a library? These are going to be text files in a dxf format? You couldn't be too descriptive in helping me understand how!

Sorry, just getting into this myself, and I know for sure I'll be asked to use custom fonts in the near future.

Solid Edge pulls all the fonts installed in Windows. I've gotten quite a few fonts off the internet that I've used in Solid Edge projects. It's very simple!

THANKS MATT, THAT WAS VERY INFORMATIVE!

How does one go about adding new fonts to the Solid Edge library? Is that not possible, and you need to save them as something else, maybe dxf files?

My appologies, when I asked for information how to do this, I guess I wasn't very clear:

How do I go find a font that I like, and utilize it for cutting and etching?

See here:

Once you have downloaded and installed your font, it will be selectable in the font dropdown that you see in Matt's video.
