Coordinate Dimension Negative Value question

Valued Contributor

Can the zero point for a series of coordinate dimension be set to allow for positve values to be shown down or to the left?

Due to layout of part in draft file, which I will not invert, I would like zero point to be at top and increase in positive values going down in view. (see attached picture)

Other dimensions shown are preliminary.

Thanks,

@Gary_Dinges  Yes.  Mine shows positive.  Check the Dimension properties, Lines and Coordinate tab, Coordinate section, and turn off option to allow negative values

Hi @Gary_Dinges

if Your question not only was to turn off the negavie value (minus sign for dimensions to the left and downwards) YOu also can use any coordinate system You have defined within Your 3D part to be used in dimensioning.

If done so, You can have positive values to the left and downwards wherelse negative for dims on the right and above.
