Creases with Bluedot manipulation of Surface

N/A

Wondering why I'm getting creases when manipulating bluedots with shapedit? the sections are from insert sections option and I notice they have a lot more points than the original sections they were copied from. Is it perhaps something to do with tolerance setting in Bluesurf?

Yes its the tolerance setting (sorry, it is in the help file).
So, is there a setting that will reproduce a curve with the same number of points as the original?

Keith,
Smoothing of surfaces in SE is an ongoing challenge for me -
it consumes TOO many hours and leads to great frustration!
Changing the appearance of the part to a highly-reflective fin-
ish (eg Chrome, with Reflections 'on') is helpful in assessing
the actual appearance of the Part (apart from the other anal-
ysis tools available such as Zebra stripes)
The best way to reduce curve-points is to Edit the profile and
use the Simplify tool, setting the allowable deviation from the
existing Curve (I often select a value in the range 0.02 to 0.05
mm) to reduce the number of points and smooth the curve.
HTH,
Rick.
