Cut command now a two step process?

Experimenter
Experimenter

Please forgive me in advance if my terminoligy is a bit off.

Suddenly my cut command is asking that I extend into 2 different directions instead of one.

I want to cut to a finite depth and while the first step allows me to do so, it now asks me to extend in the opposite direction. How can I turn this off and go back to the normal way of cutting? I have no idea how this got turned on.

Turn of the non-symmetric extent option.

Hi @dcoleman

You nearly can answer Yourself when looking onto Your pictures.

You can see the reason for that, and this is that You have turned on the  "Non-Symmetric Extend" option!

Just turn it OFF and everything will work as before!

Thank you! I swear I clicked that intending to turn it off. Maybe I was trying to do it too quickly and overlooked it.

Right under my nose!
