DFT background template swap autoimatically

Hello experts,

My dft background (standard table A4) has been changed since around one month.

Now to apply new backgound for single dwg I have to swap backgound every time for single drawing, like background is saved in single dft file for each drawing separately Smiley Sad

Is it possible to swap background automatically for every drawing i.e. when I open particullar drawing?

P.S. New backgorund  is already  linked in options/ user tempaltes.

Many thanks, CB

The link you posted in that thread is dead. Happen to have an updated link?

Re: DFT background template swap autoimatically

Thank you Sir,

First top is folder path to swap background I guess?
Second top is exactly what? Path to new template? i cant paste whole directory..

My german is less than poor. Deutchland uber alles.

Re: DFT background template swap autoimatically

You are on your own with the German, but supposedly there is an INI file where it can be changed to English if desired.

Re: DFT background template swap autoimatically

Maybe this is what you are looking for ?

It's from Siemens PLM, believe it or not.

I think it's time that Siemens PLM make's a dedicated section in this newsgroup where ALL Solid Edge users can find macro's for all different kind of things.

It only needs a place to start with.

A few years back Klaus Dahlenburg did this for all of us.

Hopefully there is link when I post this

Xedu:

Just tested that one and it works as expected first try with zero need of tweaking ini files.

I absolutely agree, SE needs a central file share for this type of stuff, hole tables, settings, blocks, etc. You can easily find just about anything you want for AutoCad but when looking for SE stuff you are often left with google asking you if you didn't mean "Solid Works" instead of Solid Edge.
