I am facing the issue with a performance when I am working with the DWG files - imported from Revit/AutoCAD. After creating the SE drawing and implementing/placing in the DWG files, the SE performance decreasing dramatically, I would say 10 times slower.
After hiding all layers of this DWG file - performance coming back to normal.
Do you have any idea how to resolve this issue ?
Maybe would I ask someone to create a macro to swich off all the layers in one click ?
This can be done directly from Solid Edge by right-clicking on the layers group in the Edgebar.
Is that the little issue with layers or are you facing a larger problem with layers in the imported drawing ?
You mentioned about importing a third-party DWG into Solid Edge.
But the video shows a layering structure which resembles the one generated when placing drawing views from a Solid Edge model, qith layers segregated per drawing view.
When I imported a DWG files with several layers, they all came in into a single "Layers" node which I can all hide or show by right-clicking.
I think I am missing something obvious or not understood the problem fully.
You can shift-select or ctrl-select the layers under "draft", right click and hide, show or show only.
thank you for reply,
maybe I have explained wrongly - sorry.
Well, my problem is regarding to the video I have attached previously.
But, I am very interested how you did your DWG conversion - just one layer after.
Thank you for the answer,
