I'm currently working on a plant layout (huge ASM) and therefore I'd like to deactivate the computing of Physical Properties in order to gain performance on saving the ASM.
However it seems that the physical properties of some parts/assemblies can't be deactivated.
Does anyone have an idea which rules in Solid Edge are responsible for that?
would be great if giving us the header information of the shown table.
Is this the Occurency Proeprty Table or the Physical Proeprty Table You are showing?
And which columns are shown?
so the only I can assume is, that this subassembly already is released, and for that reason can not be modified further.
I have rebuild the same picture here with releasing such a sub structure:
You might turn on the "Show Status" in pathfinder to better indicate which documents have which status.
You should be able to change occ props for released subassemblies though. Just not the parts within.
<edit> The highest level released subassembly you can change but not subs within.
You might want to turn on limited update and limited save:
for the released subassembly of course, but not for those parts within that.
Man can see this at the image of the OP
The subassembly has active columns for User Defined Qunatity and Physical Properties but not so the part i it.
But You are right, I have written it missunderstandable (is this a correct English word?)
Is there an other option to prevent the computing of physical properties, except Limited Update/Save?
I do know this function and I use it quite often, but I expirienced long saving times because of the computing of the physical properties though.
As a Layout Designer I do not have write access of all machines in the plant and most of them are already released, but for me the physical properties are useless.
