Degees-Minutes-Seconds vs. Decimal

I'm stuck...  Is there a way to key in 26°30'53"?  It only accepts decimals.  Not sure what the delimiter is.  Maybe I have to convert to decimal.  Thanks in advance.Capture.JPG

Nevermind... changed to deg-min-sec in Solid Edge options.

You can key in (type in) degrees-minutes-seconds at any time- no need to change the unit display type.

The format is "XXdeg XXmin XXsec", or "XX deg XX min XX sec"  WITH the spaces in between. Solid Edge will convert your entry to decimal degrees when you hit enter/tab.

Hi,

here it works also with e.g. 30° 30' 30" as input for 30.50833°

If you can type ALT+0176 faster than "deg", you have a keyboard layout I'm not familiar with. Smiley Tongue

Hi,

will You find the "°" sign at the very upper left key (to the left of "1") with Shift ?

Here it will be on every keyboard as a standard.
