Dimensions auto-populate/create?

Legend

Just got to thinking: when I draw a circle, line, or rectangle, I have to enter dimensions, why do I have to go back and add that same dimension? Why doesn't it auto-populate/dimension the same way I built it?

Just seems a little weird to enter dimensions twice.............build a rectangle from center, put in the dimensions I want, and then I have to go back and dimension those same lines.

You can do this.  Use Command Finder and search for "Auto Dimension".

Hi Edgers,

Hi @bshand

I also like and use this function for years, and this is my personal preference I set the option to

"Only when geometry is created with keyed-in value"

So when sketching geometry without enter any dimension nothing will be different than the behaviour You always had and Your are used to have.

But if You type in any value for a geometric element the according dimension will be ceated immediately

This saves time but doesn't produce unnecessary elements.
