Display Configuration Question

I have a good sized assembly (approx 3000 parts and 200 sub-assemblies within), and a display configuration that for example shows 50% of the parts spread through out the overall assembly. What I want to do is "reverse the state" of what is displayed, ie: show everything that is hidden and hide everything that is shown. I am sure there is probably a way to do this, even if it takes a few steps.

Any ideas or workflow suggestions?

Thanks,

Ross

Hi there @hyperset,

I do this regularly.....my work flow is to fence select all in the alternate config, the switch to the full config where you can hide the selected components leaving all else.....saving as a new config at that point.

Nice method to get an inverse selection.

@SeanCresswell, That's a neat trick! I would have assumed the select set would clear when you pick another config.

An "invert" option in the right-click menu might be nice.

Hi Edgers,

AFAIR there was a macro by Tushar called ShowHidden which exactly did what You asked for.

Change hidden and shown objects from ASM

Less than 24 hours after raising a question, I have a macro assigned to my Quick Access Toolbar that does exactly what I was looking for!
