Haven't dug in to it but, is there a way to document the changes you've made in the par file? One of our tool supliers is asking about it. plus, supposaly Pro E can do this....what ever...
There isn't a notes function as such, but a good way of doing it would be to use the PMI tab functions. With those you can do a text callout with arrow to note a change to a feature or add dimensions etc.
I don't know if you're using PLM, but some programs will allow you to add notes to a dataset or similar.
There's a "comments" property.
Also you could embed a Word document, text file or whatever with the binder function.
My understanding of the Pro/E track changes tool is that it is only for the current session -- it does not permanently stay in the file:
Thanks all for a couple of ideas. i'm personaly not pushing this since we document everything on our dft. majority of the time the dft/pdf go's along with the par file
