Draft - Quantity

How do you all add the quantity on your draft?

I made a custom variable in my part and assembly template, but I find it strange that "quantity" isn't a standard value. Am I missing something?

That's what I do now:

My question is: is it normal we have to make our own custom variable to add the property "quantity" to a part.

How do you all add this to your draft?

Hi,

the quantities came out of the BOM directly.

So which additional quantity to You need within a part or a draft?

Can You explain this a little bit further please?

I'm confused as well. What are you trying to do or present in a draft?

We design, produce and place fixed seating for school, university, theater,...

So I draw one or two chairs, not all the chairs in a building, for example:

So after I have this assembly I need to count on my bluiding plan how much I need and I add the quantity in the custom property "Aantal" (=quatity in Dutch).

And then how do you present this number in the draft? Or do you?

This method would not be usable?

No, I can't use that. This is what I draw:

harvard.png

This is a small projext, we use this chair in 2 rooms, a total of 100 seats of different kind:

So I need to count on the room layout how much assembly's of each kind I need. Then I add this quatity to my custom property of the part and assambly.

I'll ask my question different:

If you need 100 machines, I presume you draw 1 machine and ask 100 pieces of each part so you can assembly 100 machines. How do you enter your quantity of "100" in your draft of each part?
