I am looking for a way to seperate sheets in a draft to individual drafts. Some of these have 40-75 drafts in one file. I have considered trying to come up with a plug-in ( have some VB experience), but basic information on the Solid Edge API and how to use it is almost non-existant. Is there something in Solid Edge similar to LISP in Autodesk products for automating simple tasks?
Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
I think this might not be so easy as any macro recorder etc. can and will do.
You strictly have to use the SE API using vb.net or C.net etc.
Have a look at @Tushar tutorials (there just today were links to his homepage) or have a look into the "Programers Tutorial" in the help section of SE
and You will do that similar using the API interface of Solid Edge I suppose.
Or You can copy everything what is on one sheet and paste it onto a newdraft.
The question only might be what is to set for the drafting header informations.
Which properties are to use, is the header info based upon the 3D document
related to every sheet and so on.
