Draft, Tracking off a quadrant point

Hi,

is there a better way of placing a dimension other then the clip attached ? It seems like you should be able to track out from a quadrant point and get an intersection.

we are always manually dragging the line back to have a clean affect on the draft.

That is probably the fastest way. But just FYI what you are doing is VERY non-standard drawing practice. I think all world standards would frown on having the extension line so far from the object being measured. too much room for interpretation/error. It is perfectly acceptable for extension lines to cross in all world drafting standards.
