Draft differences

I saw something strange in ST7 draft.

When I place a new view which I select from the View Wizard and Select Attachment it place the view not in the drawn position but in the assemblie position. This was different in ST6.

The other thing, when I copy paste the title block text from one sheet to another it stick to my mouse and not places in the same position. Also different than ST6.

Can this be changed in the register, options or whatever?

Re: Draft differences

If I'm not mistaken, the Select Attachment is new for ST7 and will place the view in the same orientation as an existing view of that assembly.  You should be able to add more and/or change the view orientation in the Quick Bar options.

Here is the option for pasting:

Re: Draft differences

For copy/paste text this is the solution.

How about the new drawing view?

Thanks, this is what I was looking for.
So many new features and all fun to play with if you know what they do.

Re: Draft differences

Hi,

If you open Paste command on Ribbon bar, you can choose from "paste mode" what you need for...

Nice options!

Don't need to modify Solid Edge options! Smiley Wink

Re: Draft differences

When doing a copy/paste the pasted item follows the mouse cursor now (ST6, too). If you press the shift key it will jump to its original location and then left click anywhere and it will paste to the original spot.

Using SE since V12, 2002

Re: Draft differences

In ST6 it was placed directly on it's position. Maby there was a default setting?

But now I know the new work flow.

Thanks guys.
