I am sure you all already know this, and I am sure there are other ways to
do this, but here is an alternative and more flexible way to manage title
blocks on drawings.
With the delivered templates the title block geometry and values are on the
background sheet and you are limited to property text for input.
Other strings that are not property text have to be manually inserted and
maintained on the drawing.
The additional strings are really placed on the drawing, not in the title
block. There is also no collective input to these additional strings.
Here is the alternative method.
Open the attached Draft file "TitleBlockST2.dft".
Notice that there is not a title block on the drawing.
Click on the Library tab in EdgeBar.
Notice that there is a block under the ActiveDocument called TitleBlock.
Drag this block onto the display window.
Notice that the origin of the block is the bottom right hand corner.
Drag the block to the bottom right hand corner of the drawing border.
Notice that it snaps into place. There is a point at that location that can
be located on the drawing.
Click to place the block.
A dialog will display prompting for title block information.
Key in the needed data into the propertues.
Click OK and the block will place with the data specified.
To edit the title block, RMB on the block and click Properties.
You can easily change the information in the title block collectively.
You can have a single background sheet for standard sized drawings and still
have as many different title blocks as you need.
Simply drag the one you need onto the drawing. All this can be built into a
