Solid Edge ST9 - Draft - [ aaaa.par in bbbb.dft ]
Why does the drawing tab name in SE show as that ^^^
It adds a random part name next to the drawing name, when the actual drawing name is bbbb.dft
it's confusing as the tab is quite small and when you have a few docs open at the same time you don't know which file the window is actually referring to.
I've closed the file now. but when i reopen it, it sorts it self out.
but just imagine what i typed previously shown where the file name is on top of a SE window
The issue has come back and it has happened to an assembly now. I don't think is a graphics issue as its only the file name that's causing the confusion its not the model view. see the screen shot below:
my assembly file is called Pack Assembly so why is it saying 'side plate.par in' before it?
I think this is easy to answer.
You have inplace activated the part Side Plate from the assembly Pack Assembly 1340.
On the other hand Your image shows the assembly environment what makes this all very strange
Maybe You can provide a video rather than the screenshot, this could help better.
That is because you are editing the part in context of the assembly.
For eg. selecting the Edit In Place command on the plate1.par in the head1.asm assembly
will display this in the title bar:
not sure what you mean by activated. its not activated in the sense that it is editable in the assembly. and also its not the only part that is activated in the assembly
