I have a vb.net project for ST9 that moves (renames) asm files from one folder to another on the server. On occasion, an asm fails to move because it says there are duplicate names found. I've checked the folders and the file exists only once in the source folder and doesn't exist in the target folder. My question is two fold.
1) Is there a reason I'm getting a duplicate name error that I can't see through Windows Explorer, Design Manager duplicate tool, and sharepoint?
2)Is there a way for my project to know that it fails without having the Solid Edge DisplayAlerts active? I'd like for my program to log the failure and move on without human intervention.

If it's a managed system like Insight, SESP, Teamcenter, etc. it likely won't allow duplicate filenames anywhere in the database.
