Editing a cut

I'm a student learning how to use Solid Edge (ST4), and I'm having a small issue with editing a cut I made.  On one of the faces of my model, I wanted to make a rectangle that was "sunk in" to the model by just a millimeter or so, but the cut went all the way through. How can I go back and edit that cut to set it to a finite depth? Any help is greatly appreciated!

If in Synchronous, you use the Protrusion command to fill...

If in Synchronous, you use the Protrusion command to fill it in, or remove it and add it back correctly.

If Ordered, you edit the features definition, click on the Extent step, change the option to Finite and specify the correct depth.
